Welcome to ISOCC 2008!

International SoC Design Conference (ISOCC) aims at providing the world's premier forum of leading researchers in the SoC design areas from academia and industries. Prospective authors are invited to submit papers of their original works emphasizing contributions beyond the present state of the art. We also welcome proposals on special tutorials and submissions of design contest.

Conference Theme: "Energy-Aware SoCs"

Ever demanding high performance application has driven the "Moore's law" toward scaling of geometry, and it had finally touched the heat valve of the system. This sudden bottleneck in the heat dissipation is the prime concern for SoC designers, and it has changed the design style to "energy-aware", regardless of its application to mobile or non-mobile. The world is going after "green" gadgets.
Multi-block or multi-core SoC design to achieve same functionality with low energy-speed product requires larger device count SoC design, multi block function design methodology, architectures and energy evaluation schemes. These new approaches will call for the designers' and developers' ingenuity. All new ideas and techniques will be shared at ISOCC 2008.
